The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Thursday at 485.28 points, losing 0.50% or 2.41 points. The general index fell 0.35% or 0.90 points to 259.84 points.

Trading volume reached 1.93 million shares, at a turnover of $1.34 million, traded through 123 transactions by 17 companies, of which five gained, seven dropped and five remained unchanged.

The top three gainers were: Palestine Islamic Bank by 4.92%, the Arab Real Estate Co by 3.7% and Arab Palestinian Investment Co by 2.8%. While, the top three decliners were Global Com Telecommunication Plc by 12.5%, Birzeit Pharmaceuticals Co by 5.66% and Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications by 1.41%.

On the sectors level, the industry, the insurance, the investment and the service indices dropped 1.22%, 0.12%, 0.13% and 0.61% respectively, whereas the banking and financial index added 0.21%.
